Cross Country Runners Compete at Jack St. Clair Memorial Championship
10.10.15 | Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country
PHILADELPHIA - Five runners from the Temple men's cross country team and one from the women's team competed on Saturday at the Jack St. Clair Memorial Cross Country Championship at Belmont Plateau. With all five finishing in the top 25 on the men's side, the Owls took second among the 18 participating teams.
Junior Praneeth Gottipati led Temple with a third-place finish, running the 8K course in a time of 28:31. Freshman Darien Knudsen placed 11th in 29:21.4, and redshirt sophomore Jeffrey Craskey also placed in the top-20, taking 18th in 29:54.8.
Sophomore Louise Huuki ran the women's 6K course in 27:01.8 to place 48th in a field of 136 competitors.
The men's and women's full teams will be back in action next Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Princeton Invitational.
