Gomez Sanchez and Moros Gracia Recognized in Weekly Conference and Soccer Six Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – As the regular season approaches its final week, the American Athletic Conference has announced its weekly award winners for the week ending on Oct. 25. The conference has awarded Jorge Gomez Sanchez and Carlos Moros Gracia each a spot on the weekly honor roll. For their efforts, the Philadelphia Soccer Six has named them the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.
Gomez Sanchez scored his 13th goal of the season in the Owls' 3-1 victory against Cincinnati, and his goal was also the game-winner. He also logged an assist on the first goal of the match to earn three points for the day. Through both matches of the week, Gomez Sanchez logged nine total shots with two being on target. Gomez Sanchez now ranks in a tie for fifth place in the Temple record books for most goals scored by a player in a single season. His 13 goals is also the most by a player since 1997.
Moros Gracia earned his third goal of the season in the Owls' victory against Cincinnati. He knocked in a penalty kick to earn the team's third goal of the day. Moros Gracia made strong defensive efforts in the match, helping to limit the Bearcats to a single goal and only five total shots.
