Trey Wren Leads Golf at Visit Stockon Pacific Invite

STOCKTON, Calif. – Freshman Trey Wren shot a team-best three-over 74 at the second day of the Visit Stockon Pacific Invite held at the Stockton Country Club Friday. Wren is tied for 41st overall with an eight over 150 and leads the Temple Golf team, which is in 15th place among the 16 competing teams.

Senior All-American Brandon Matthews (151) is one shot behind Wren and tied for 44th overall. Matthews carded a five-over 76 for the round.

Sophomore Evan Thornton (155) also shot a 76 and tied for 71st while redshirt freshman John Barone (158, t-79), who shot a 75 on the day, rounds out the Owl scorers.

Sacramento State leads the field with a 570. They are followed by Long Beach State (573), Pacific (584), Denver (589), UC Irvine (591), Utah Valley (592), Nevada (593), BTU (594), UT-Rio Grande Valley (595), CSU-Fullerton (596), UC Riverside (598), CSU-Northridge (599), Fresno State (601), Grand Canyon (601), Temple (612) and CSU-Bakersfield (616).
