STOCKTON, Calif. – Freshman Trey Wren led Temple Golf and tied for 36th overall with an 11-over 224 the Visit Stockon Pacific Invite which concluded play Saturday. Temple Golf finsihed in 15th place among the 16 competing teams.
Senior All-American Brandon Matthews, who matched Wren and sophomore Evan Thornton with a final round 74, was one shot behind Wren and tied for 40th overall with a 225.
Thornton (229) was third for the Owls and tied for 64th while redshirt freshman John Barone (233, t-72nd) rounded out the Owl scorers.
Sacramento State won the event with a 859. They were followed by Long Beach State (861), UC Irvine (874), Pacific (882), Denver (885), Utah Valley (886), Fresno State (892), Nevada (892), CSU-Fullerton (893), BYU (894), UT-Rio Grande Valley (900), Grand Canyon (902), CSU-Northridge (906), Temple (909) and CSU-Bakersfield (923).
