Football's Walker Named to American Athletic Conference Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA – Junior quarterback P.J. Walker of the #22 Temple Owls was named to the American Athletic Conference's Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending November 8. Walker led the Owls offense in a 60-40 victory on the road at SMU.
At SMU, Walker matched his career high with four touchdown passes, while running for another. Overall, he finished 18-for-25 with 268 yards in the victory. Walker now sits two touchdowns behind Henry Burris for the Owls' all-time touchdown record. He also needs just 231 yards for his third-consecutive 2,000 yard season. This is the second American Weekly Honor Roll nod for Walker, who also made the list after his career-high 391 yards in Temple's September 19th win at UMass.
The 8-1 Owls travel to Tampa for a primetime showdown with USF on Saturday. A win over the Bulls would clinch the East division and guarantee a berth in the American's inaugural championship game. Kickoff for Raymond James Stadium is 7:00 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
