PHILADELPHIA -- Temple women's basketball player Donnaizha Fountain claimed Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week honors on Monday. This is the first career weekly honor for the sophomore transfer.

Fountain led the Owls with 12.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for Temple, which included a Big 5 win over Villanova. Against the Wildcats, the guard hit Temple career-highs with 10 points and nine rebounds, shooting 50%, as the Owls defeated Villanova for the first time since 2010. Against #13/14 Florida State,Fountain scored 12 points, improving her career-best, while also adding four rebounds in the loss. For the week, Fountain went 9-20 from the field (45%) and 3-6 (50%) from long-range.

Temple is back in action on Wednesday, hosting Sacred Heart at McGonigle Hall at 7:00 p.m.
