PHILADELPHIA - Pete Cautilli, a veteran administrator with four decades of experience at the collegiate level, has been named Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development, announced Temple University Associate Vice President/Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director Mark Ingram.

"Pete brings a wealth of experience to our athletics staff and his leadership will be invaluable as we strive to enhance our athletic development area," said Ingram.

"I'm looking forward to working with the Temple team and all our fantastic donors who support Temple Athletics," said Cautilli

Cautilli, a native of Lewisburg, Pa., has been on the athletic administrative staffs at Bucknell University, Idaho State University, Colorado State University, Saint Louis University and the University of Louisville, serving as either an assistant athletic director or associate athletic director.

After serving one year as the director client services for PC3 Enterprises, a sports consulting firm based in Louisville, he was named the Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming in March of 2013.  At LCCC, he was responsible for the management, planning, operation and administration of the athletic, recreational programs and Physical Education facility. Also under his purview was oversight of the administrative, marketing, business and fund raising activities that support the athletic and recreation programs.

His longest stint was at Louisville (2001-12), where he served 11 years as an associate athletic director on the Cardinals staff.  There he supervised design, planning and construction of all athletic facilities/capital projects, which included the construction of the $238 million KFC Yum Center basketball arena and the expansion of the $75 million Papa John's Cardinal Stadium football expansion.

At the four other schools, Cautilli's focus was primarily oversight of the business and internal operations of the NCAA Division I athletic departments.  He also was involved with athletic marketing at both Saint Louis and Louisville.

A 1981 Bucknell graduate, Cautilli earned his master's degree in sport management in 1984 from New York University. He has two children: Alli and Petey.
