Watch Temple Athletics' Annual Breakfast of Champions Live on Wednesday Morning

PHILADELPHIA - For the first time in the 13-year history of Temple Athletics' Breakfast of Champions, the event will be live streamed free of charge. Set for Wednesday, April 29 at 8:00 a.m., the annual event honors the best in Temple athletics, both on and off the field of play. Over 300 student-athletes will be recognized for academic and athletic accomplishments.
Student-athletes will serve as presenters to their peer recipients during the program, which will begin around 8:25 a.m. Breakfast will be served to all attendees at 8:00 a.m. Senior Ray Smeriglio, the President of the Student Government, will serve as the emcee for the event for a second year in a row. PNC is the presenting sponsor of the Breakfast of Champions.
Temple will honor PNC Male and Female Student-Athletes of the Year, male and female Enterprise Spirit and Sportsmanship Award recipients, male and female Temple Teammates Community Service Award recipients, and a male and female NovaCare Comeback Student-Athlete of the Year. In addition, The Owl Trophy will be presented to the team with the highest GPA, and the Owl Cup Trophy will go to the team with the most hours of community service performed including attendance at Owl Cup contests for each sport.
The 10 student-athletes with the highest grade-point averages in the department will be honored as the Trustee Ten. All student-athletes with a GPA between 3.0-3.49 will be named to the Director's Honor Roll, while student-athletes will a GPA of 3.5 or above will be named to the President's Honor Roll.
