Brandon Matthews Named ECAC Men's Golfer of the Month

PHILADELPHIA - Junior Brandon Matthews has been named the ECAC Men's Golfer of the Month for the month of April.
The Dupont, Pa. native notched a pair of individual wins during the month while putting together a nine-round average of 71.6. He earned wins at the Met Intercollegiate and the Princeton Invitational, posting a month-low of one-under (139) at the PU Invite on April 12.Â
With the two wins, Matthews tied the Temple school records with three consecutive wins and eight career titles.
Named Temple's co-Male Student Athlete of the Year at the annual Breakfast of Champions, Matthews was recently selected to compete as an individual at the 2015 NCAA Men's Golf Championships. Â He will take his school-record 71.0 stoke average to The Course at Yale for the three-day Regional, May 14-16.
