Temple Photographer Joseph V. Labolito Wins CASE Gold Award for Men's Basketball Photos

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University photographer Jospeh V. Labolito has been honored with a major award for a series of basketball photos taken before the 2014-15 season. When the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Circle of Excellence winners were announced on June 3, Labolito earned the Gold Award in the category of series of related images.
Out of 49 entries, Labolito's "Take Charge" basketball series took top honors. The photographs, which were used on game tickets and for social media this past season, show Temple men's basketball players sweaty and intense after a workout.
Temple photographer Ryan Brandenberg took a Silver Award in individual photographs for his "The Arts at Temple" photo. Temple also took gold in the long video division for "Funeral For a Home," and silver in the short video division for a mentoring program video titled "Eye To Eye."
