Martinelli Named to American Preseason All-Conference Team for the Second Year in a Row

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior Jared Martinelli has been named to the Preseason American Athletic Conference All-Conference Team for the 2015 season. This is the second year in a row Martinelli has been named to the team.

As a team, Temple men's soccer has been ranked eighth in the conference, with UConn earning the number one spot, garnering 44 points. Close behind the Huskies is Tulsa, earning 43 points, followed by USF, SMU, Memphis, UCF, and Cincinnati. Leading in individual selections are UConn, USF and SMU with three selections each among the 14 members.

Last season, Martinelli ranked second for the Owls in total points (8), first in assists (4), and third in goals (2). Martinelli was also named second team all-conference for the second year in a row, and selected as a member of the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Men's Soccer Team.
