2015-16 Women's Basketball Schedule Announced
9.2.15 | Women's Basketball
PHILADELPHIA – The American Athletic Conference released the 2015-16 women's basketball schedule today. Temple opens conference play on Wednesday, December 30 when the Owls host Memphis at McGonigle Hall.
"We're excited for another year of competition in The American," said eighth-year head coach Tonya Cardoza. "The level of play in the conference keeps getting better and better. We ended last season with a significant post-season run in the WNIT and we're excited to see how we stack up against our conference opponents this year."
Each American Athletic Conference team faces eight of the league's opponents twice, and two others just once. This season, the Owls see Tulsa and East Carolina only once, with the Tulsa game being played at home on January 8 and the East Carolina game on the road on January 30.
Temple will host 15 home games in 2015-16. Three will be at the Liacouras Center – November 13 vs. Florida, February 3 vs. SMU, and February 6 vs. USF. The remaining 11 games will take place at McGonigle Hall.
Three of Temple's games have already been announced for national television. The home game against Tulsa will be carried by ESPNU, while the home game against UConn on February 14 will be covered by ESPN2. Additionally, CBS Sports Network will broadcast Temple's road game at UConn on January 16. A full television schedule will be announced later this fall.
Season tickets will be available later this month. More details are available on owlstix.com.
