PHILADELPHIA – Temple men's soccer closes out a three-game home stand with a Sunday match against Yale, set to kick off at 3:00 p.m.
The Owls are currently holding a 3-0-1 record following a 3-1 comeback victory over Rider, and are currently ranked third in the NSCAA East Regional poll.
Four Owls were named with American Athletic Conference weekly honors for the week ending on Sept. 6. Junior Carlos Moros Gracia was named the Defensive Player of the Week after showing strong defensive work in his Temple debuts. For the second week in a row, Alex Cagle was named Goalkeeper of the Week as he added his second career shutout against Penn State. Freshman Hermann Doerner and Justin Stoddart earned spots on the weekly honor roll.
The Bulldogs are headed to the Ambler Sports Complex after a 2-0 loss against #17 UC Santa Barbara. Yale is now 0-3 on their season.
This is only the second matchup between the two teams. The Bulldogs lead the single match series after the two squads' first match in Oct. 2014 when Yale defeated Temple 1-0.
