Golf in 10th Place after Second Round at Visit Stockton Pacific Invite

STOCKTON, CA – Sophomore Trey Wren shot a two-over 73 to lead the Temple Golf team during the second round at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invite Friday. Wren is tied for 16th overall with a one-over par 143 while the Owls sit in 10th place at the 13-team tournament which is being held at the 6,516, par-71 Stockton Country Club.
Redshirt sophomore John Barone was next for the Owls with a two-over 144 after a tough four-over round of 75 Friday to tie for 21st overall. . Redshirt freshman Erik Reisner carded the best round by an Owl on the day with a one-over 72. He sits third for Temple and tied for 28th overall with a three-over 145.
Junior Mark Farley (153) and sophomore Sam Soeth (156) rounded out the Owls' squad, tied for 68th and 72nd, respectively.
BYU leads the field with a nine-under 559 while Seattle is in second at 566. Temple is 24 strokes off the pace with a 15-over 583.
Sacramento State's Avery Beverly and BYU's Rhett Rasmussen are tied atop the leader board with six-under 136 scores.
Play concludes with third round action Saturday .
