Men's Soccer Earns NSCAA College Team Academic Award for Fourth Consecutive Season

KANSAS CITY, Mo.– The NSCAA has announced the 2015-16 winners of the NSCAA College Team Academic Award. Temple men's soccer has received the honor for the fourth consecutive year and fifth overall. The award is recognized to both men's and women's collegiate teams that post a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
The Owls logged in an impressive 3.28 GPA with 13 players being placed on Temple's Directors Honor Roll for having a GPA of 3.0 or higher and seven players earning a spot on Temple's Presidents Honor Roll for having a GPA above 3.5.
Current senior Dan White was also named the 2015-16 PNC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and became a member of Temple's Trustee Ten which recognizes the top 10 student-athlete GPAs at Temple. White is a risk management major in the Fox School of Business, as well as a member of Temple's Honors Program and recipient of a Provost's Scholarship.
Temple men's soccer saw its first NSCAA College Team Academic Award in 2010. Since then, the Owls have also earned the award in every consecutive year beginning in 2013.
A total of 892 Division I, II and III college soccer programs received the prestigious award, including 577 women's programs. Temple is one of the 221 schools to have both its men's and women's programs honored.
