Fitzgerald Named Big 5 Player of the Week; American Honor Roll Selection

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple's Feyonda Fitzgerald was named the first Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week for the 2016-17 season. The senior was also named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll, leading the Owls in points and assists for the week.

In a win over La Salle on Monday, Fitzgerald led the Owls in points (27), rebounds (9) and assists (9) for the third time in her career. On Saturday, the guard led Temple with 19 points and nine assists, also adding six rebounds, as Temple came up just short on the road at #19/23 Florida.

For the season, Fitzgerald is averaging 20.7 points, 7.7 assists, and 6.3 rebounds per game.
