PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's basketball team faces a tough test on Sunday, hosting No. 1 and undefeated UConn on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. at McGonigle Hall. The sold-out game is being broadcast by ESPN2 with Pam Ward (play-by-play) and Carolyn Peck (analyst) on the call. The Owls are looking for their seventh-straight victory, while the Huskies have a 60-game winning streak on the line.

The Owls
• Temple is 17-7 overall, 11-2 in The American, after winning six-straight games.
• Last time out, Temple did not trail in a 30-point victory over Houston, 78-48.
• Tanaya Atkinson had a career-high 27 points, while Donnaizha Fountain hit career bests with 20 points and 15 rebounds in the win.
• Alliya Butts (11 points) and Feyonda Fitzgerald (8 assists, 4 steals) rounded out the box score.
• For the year, Butts leads the Owls with 15.7 points per game, while grabbing 68 total steals. Fitzgerald is second with 13.1 points per game, averaging a team-high 5.2 assists per game. 
• Atkinson averages 12.3 points and 5.9 rebounds per contest, while Covile (9.4 ppg, 7.2 rpg) and Fountain (9.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg) bolster the Owls on both ends of the floor.

The Huskies
• #1 UConn (23-0, 13-0) enters Sunday's clash on a 60-game winning streak, including 23 in a row to start this season. The Huskies are the three-time defending NCAA national champions.
• Last time out, Breanna Stewart, Morgan Tuck and Moriah Jefferson combined for 53 points in No. 1 UConn's 66-54 blowout on the road at No. 2 South Carolina.
• Stewart led the way with 25 points, Tuck had 16 points and Jefferson 12 as the Huskies (23-0) won their 60th straight game and improved to 19-3 in No. 1-vs.-No. 2 matchups.
• For the season, Stewart leads UConn with 19.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.7 blocks per game, while also averaging 3.8 assists per contest. Morgan Tuck is second on the team with 15.6 points.
• Jefferson contributes 13.4 points an outing with a team-best 5.2 assists per game average, while Kia Nurse (10.1 ppg) and Gabby Williams (9.3 ppg, 6.3 apg) also aid the nation's top team.

Temple vs. UConn
• Temple is 2-6 all-time against UConn, winning the first two match-ups, but falling in six straight.
• Last time they met, UConn notched a lopsided victory over the Owls in Storrs, Conn. on January 16.

Sophomore Alliya Butts finished with 12 points, six assists, and three steals, while classmate Khadijah Berger had 11 points for Temple.
• For UConn, Breanna Steward finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Katie Lou Samuelson had 21 points and six assists.
