Athletics Director Dr. Patrick Kraft Receives SBJ's Forty Under 40 Award in LA

LOS ANGELES - Temple University Director of Athletics Dr. Patrick Kraft was in attendance at the 2016 CAA World Congress of Sports on Thursday, where he officially accepted his Forty Under 40 award at a gala dinner hosted by Street & Smith's Sports Business Daily/Global/Journal.
The 40 winners of the prestigious honor were announced on Feb. 22. The gala dinner and awards program was held April 14 following the CAA World Congress of Sports. About 500 people packed into the Platinum Ballroom at the JW Marriott at L.A. Live to celebrate the 2016 class of the Forty Under 40. The event was hosted by Fox Sports personalities Colin Cowherd and Kristine Leahy.Â
Many notable figures were in attendance, including SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey and Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delaney. Temple's own Matt Rhule also made it out to LA following the football team's final practice of the spring season before Saturday's Cherry & White Game.
Kraft, who is in his third year at Temple, has helped transform the University's athletics department while serving first as Deputy Director of Athletics (2013-15), and since May 2015 in his current role as the leader of the department.
