4.28.16 | Women's Lacrosse

PHILADELPHIA - In a do or die game for Temple lacrosse on Saturday, April 30, the Owls (11-5, 3-3) will also be honoring those who have made the program what it is over the years. Temple is hosting Georgetown (6-9, 4-2) in its final regular season game at 1 p.m., and is dedicating the contest to Championship Day and Alumnae Day.

In attendance on Saturday will be members of Temple's two NCAA Champion teams from 1984 and 1988, as well as many other alums from a wide range of years. All alumnae will be honored at halftime of the game. Hall of Fame Head Coach Tina Sloan-Green, coach of both the 1984 and 1988 teams, will also be in attendance. Check out stories about both the 1984 NCAA Championship Team and the 1988 NCAA Championship Team.

With a win against Georgetown, the Owls will earn a spot in the four-team BIG EAST Tournament, set for May 5 and 7 in Washington, D.C. Top-seeded Florida and second-seeded UConn have already clinched their spots. Temple, Georgetown and Marquette are all still in the running for the two remaining berths.
