Brandon Matthews Named All-Conference for Fourth Straight Season

PHILADELPHIA – Temple University senior golfer Brandon Matthews was named to the American Athletic Conference Men's Golf All-Conference team for the third straight season. He also earned All-conference honors his freshman year while competing in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
Matthews, who placed in the Top 10 in five of the nine tournaments he completed this season, led the Owls with a 72.8 stroke average. The Dupont, Pa. native tied for first at the Cornell Spring South Invitational and finished his career with a three-under 213 at the American Athletic Conference Championship to place fifth overall.
Matthews, who tied the Temple career record for individual titles with eight, will next compete at the U.S. Open Qualifier held on Monday, May 16 at the Silver Creek Country Club in Hellertown, Pa.
