Cummings, DeCosey to Play for San Antonio Spurs Summer League Team

PHILADELPHIA – Reunited and it feels so good. That is the theme for two recent Temple men's basketball players as Quenton DeCosey and Will Cummings are back playing together as part of the San Antonio Spurs 2016 Utah Jazz Summer League.
Cummings, a 2015 first team all-American Conference selection, and DeCosey, a 2016 first team All-American Conference honoree, are part of the Spurs' 14-man roster for the summer league. The league runs from July 4-7 in Salt Lake City.
Cummings was an all-NBA D-League Second Team selection this past year while playing for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. He was also selected to the D-League All-Star game and was an all-Rookie honoree.
DeCosey and Cummings teamed together for three seasons (2012-13 thru 2014-15) at Temple, leading the Owls to the 2015 NIT Semifinals and the third round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament.
Former Temple player Dutch Gaitley, who played for the Owls during the 2010-11 season, is on the staff of the Spurs summer league team.
