Three Men's Soccer Players Named to Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Three Temple men's soccer players have been named to the American Athletic Conference's weekly honor roll following their efforts this past weekend. Jorge Gomez Sanchez, Mark Grasela and George McGee collectively rallied off 11 shots in their match against Rider.
Despite dropping the match to the Broncs, Gomez Sanchez and McGee were a driving force in the Owls' offensive attack. Gomez Sanchez was able to fire five shots with two on target and kept the pressure on Broncs' defensive line.
Gomez Sanchez now leads the conference in total points and total goals scored.
McGee was able to sub in and post three shots of his own to continue the pressure late in the game.
As a defender, Grasela was able to post three shots with one on target. He also helped a strong defensive line limit the Broncs to 11 shots to the Owls' 20 total. Grasela has been strong in the air this season, putting shots on target with strong headers from set pieces.
The Owls now look to pick up their fifth win of the season against Drexel Tuesday evening.
