Women’s Soccer Hosts Towson on Sunday; Looks to Go 2-0 on Weekend

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's soccer hosts Towson for its second home game of the season at the Temple Sports Complex. During the team's home opener against Drexel, the Owls played in front of a great crowd of 621 people.
Temple comes into the match off of a Thursday night overtime thriller against Rider. Junior Gabriella McKeown scored the game-winning goal during the 92nd minute of play pushing Temple over the Broncs, 1-0. The Owls are 2-2 on the season, while the Tigers come into the match 0-4-1.
Towson is coming off of a Friday night loss to Saint Joseph's, 3-1.
For the Owls, they are led statistically by McKeown who has netted three shots on the season and scored a total of seven points.
Sophomore goalkeeper Jordan Nash is having a nice start to her first full season in net. Nash has compiled 22 saves with just three goals against and two shutouts.
As a team, Temple is out shooting opponents 62-47, coming off of a season high 18 shots against Rider.
