Tim Kallal Joins Temple Athletics Staff as a Video Production Coordinator

PHILADELPHIA - Tim Kallal has been hired as a Video Production Coordinator for Temple University Athletics, announced Assistant AD/Video Services Kevin Copp. Kallal came to Temple from the University of South Carolina where he spent three and half years working with Gamecock Productions while working toward his degree.
"For many years, the University of South Carolina's Gamecock Productions has been one of the standard-bearers of the collegiate athletics video world," said Copp, "and I am thrilled to welcome one of their great young talents here to Temple. In addition to his energy and enthusiasm, Tim has already demonstrated a breadth and depth of work at USC that will immediately enhance the quality of our OwlsTV video content."
During his entire career as an undergraduate student at USC, Kallal served as a production assistant and team leader for Gamecock Productions, producing marketing and promotional videos, year-end highlights, streaming live events and editing game highlights. Kallal managed the scheduling of six production assistants among his many other responsibilities with the production team.
"I'm very excited to be a part of Temple Athletics." said Kallal, "I look forward to contributing what I can to an already extremely impressive video team, and to helping showcase the many accomplishments of the staff, coaches and student-athletes here at the University."
Kallal also worked with IMG Sports Network while at USC, helping produce a number of coaches shows and other athletics-related broadcasts. For his final two and a half years, he was a camera operator for ESPN and the SEC Network for USC baseball, basketball, soccer and volleyball. During the spring semester of 2016, Kallal worked with Carolina News Channel 4, serving as producer, director, technical director and sports reporter for the daily 30-minute newscast.
In December, 2016, Kallal graduated from USC with a degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in media arts.
