Scouting Men's Cross Country
> The Owls enter this week ranked No. 8 in the Mid-Atlantic region by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the second consecutive week. This position is one of the best ever for the Owls. Only in 2010 and 2012 did Temple men's cross country earn that ranking. The team was only ever able to maintain the No. 8 spot for one week.
> At the Jack St. Clair Memorial Invitational on Oct. 7, junior David Fitzgerald topped the field of 101, completing the race in 26:53.5. The first-place finish at Belmont marked a career first for Fitzgerald.
Scouting Women's Cross Country
> The women's team will enter Saturday's race ranked No. 8 in the Mid-Atlantic region by the USTFCCCA. The squad has been able to maintain the No. 8 ranking for two consecutive weeks, a program best.
> Last week's Jack St. Clair Memorial Invitational was the first-ever cross country race for freshman McKenzie Gelvin, a middle distance runner. Senior Ashton Dunkley was the squad's top finisher in sixth place.
Of Note
> The last time Temple competed at Princeton was for the 2015 Mid-Atlantic Regional meet. Former Owl Blanca Fernandez won the individual title that year.
Quotable
> "Both men and women will be racing many of the schools that we'll see at Lehigh for the Mid-Atlantic Regional meet in November. Our team has made big strides so far in climbing the regional rankings, so this will be an opportunity to solidify where we belong and have a gauge of what we can accomplish during the championship portion of our season." – Head coach James Snyder
