Camacho Soto Named American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced its weekly awards for the week of Oct. 23 and freshman Alan Camacho Soto was selected as Rookie of the Week. Camacho Soto gave a solid effort in Temple men's soccer's 3-1 conference win at Tulsa on Oct. 21.
On Saturday, Camacho Soto gave Temple a 2-1 lead over Tulsa in the 20th minute, scoring his fifth goal of the season off an assist from redshirt senior Mark Grasela. The goal proved to be the game-winner as the Owls edged the Golden Hurricane in a key conference road win. Temple downed Tulsa, 3-1, securing the victory with a penalty kick goal shot by Thibault Candia. Temple moved to fourth place in The American with Saturday's win and remains in contention to host the conference championship.
