Men's Soccer Travels to UCF for Saturday's Match

PHILADELPHIA - Temple men's soccer (8-6-1, 3-2) will face UCF (5-5-2, 2-2-1) on Saturday, Oct. 28 at the UCF Soccer and Track Complex. The match will be streamed on the American Digital Network and is set for a 2 p.m. kickoff. 

Scouting the Owls
> The Owls enter Saturday's match off three straight wins over Tulsa, NJIT, and Cincinnati. 
> At Tulsa, the squad earned a 3-1 victory with goals from junior Hermann Doerner, freshman Alan Camacho Soto, and sophomore Thibault Candia.
> Candia leads the Owls in goals so far in 2017 with six.
> The reigning American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week,  Camacho Soto, is Temple's second leading scorer with five. 
> Sophomore Michael Samnik logged 11 saves last week against NJIT and Tulsa.
> Samnik was named Philadelphia Soccer Six Defender of the Week for the week of Oct. 23.

Scouting the Knights
> UCF will enter Saturday's contest coming off a five-game unbeaten streak.
> The squad's most recent conquest was a 3-0 win over Florida Atlantic on Oct. 24.
> The Knight's top scorer of 2017 is senior Matias Pyysalo, a Helsinki, Finland native, with 10 goals.
> Between goalkeepers Yannik Oettl and Matthew Rosenberg, the Knights have logged 44 saves and four shutouts for the season.

The Series
> The Owls are 1-1-2 against the Knights. In 2016, Temple blanked UCF in a 1-0 victory at the Temple Sports Complex.
