Cross Country Signs Two Solid Recruits for 2018 Season

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple cross country and track and field recruiting class of two for the 2018 season is expected to pack a punch. Joining men's cross country in 2018 is Quinn Serfass (Williamsport, Pa. / Loyalsock). Lexi Walsh (Old Forge, Pa./ Holy Cross) will join women's cross country and track and field.
The Run Down on Serfass
Serfass, a cross country and track and field athlete at Loyalsock, is a two-time state medalist in cross country. Over the course of his high school career he has reached personal best times of 15:51 and 9:30 in the 5K and 3200m race, respectively.
"Quinn's progression has been impressive over the past few years as he's quickly climbed the ranks and become one of the top distance runners in Pennsylvania. Like Lexi, he's also earned 2 state cross country medals and was on the podium last spring in the boy's 3200. Moving up to the 8K/10K college distances suit him well and we're very excited about adding him to our men's program." - Head cross country coach James Snyder
The Run Down on Walsh
Walsh is a cross country and track and field athlete at Holy Cross. A two-time all-state honoree in cross country, she has reached a personal best time of 18:33. On the track, Walsh's personal record in the 3200m race is an impressive 11:16.
"Lexi's earned all-state honors twice in cross country here in Pennsylvania and is someone who immediately fit in with our team from the first time she stepped onto our campus. She's going to have a great year on the track this spring and will be a fantastic addition to our distance group next fall." - Head cross country coach James Snyder
