Women's Basketball Hosts Harvard on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's basketball team will continue its non-conference slate on Saturday, hosting Harvard at 2:00 p.m. at McGonigle Hall.

BOOK DRIVE
> Fans who donate a new or lightly used children's book will receive a $3 discount on tickets.

SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Temple is 5-2 on the season, 3-2 at home and 2-0 on the road to start the year.
> Tanaya Atkinson leads the Owls, averaging a double-double of 23.1 points and 11.1rebounds per game.
> Freshman Mia Davis averages 10.1 points and 9.6 boards per game.
> Freshmen Emani Mayo and Desiree Oliver each add 7.4 points per game, with Oliver leading the team with 2.7 assists per game.
> Senior Khadijah Berger averages 4.7 points and 2.6 assists per game.
> Junior Deja Reynolds chips in with 4.0 points per outing, while freshman Breanna Perry adds 3.1 rebounds per game.
> As a team, Temple shoots 39.3% from the field and 25.0% from three.

LAST TIME OUT
> Temple rallied for a 69-66 Philadelphia Big 5 win over visiting Saint Joseph's  on Wednesday.
> The Owls got a pair of double-doubles from Tanaya Atkinson and Mia Davis, as well as a career game from junior Deja Reynolds.
> Temple took the lead late in the third quarter and held on to thwart a late SJU rally.
> Atkinson led all scorers with 24 points and 13 rebounds, while Davis also had 13 rebounds and finished with 15 points.
> Reynolds doubled her previous career high, scoring 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field.

SCOUTING HARVARD
> Harvard enters Saturday's game with a 4-3 overall record, having won four of their last five games.
> The Crimson have four players in double figures in scoring, led by Katie Benzan's 13.9 points and 3.0 assists per game.
> Madeline Raster scores 11.3 points per outing.
> Jeannie Raster averages 11.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks per game.
> Taylor Rooks rounds out the top contributors with 10.6 points and a team-best 9.0 rebounds per game.
> The Crimson are among the nation's leaders in blocks per game, averaging 5.3 an outing.
> As a team, Harvard shoots 36.7% from the field, including 30.7% from three.

LAST TIME OUT
> Jeannie Boehm scored a season-high 19 points to lead Harvard to a 64-60 win over North Carolina A&T on Sunday.
> Harvard led by as many as 10 points before North Carolina A&T made a late charge in the final minutes, closing the deficit to as few as three.
> Madeline Raster hit a free throw with 12 seconds remaining to seal the victory, finishing with 11 points.
> Katie Benzan had 12 points and five assists, while Tayor Rooks had nine points and nine rebounds in the win.
