Davis Named Freshman of the Week; Atkinson Gets Honor Roll Nod

PHILADELPHIA -- For the second time in her career, freshman standout Mia Davis has been named the American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week. Senior Tanaya Atkinson joined Davis with weekly mentions this week, appearing on the conference Honor Roll for the third time this season.
FAB FRESHMAN
>Â Davis averaged 14.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in a 2-0 week for Temple.
> She opened the week with a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds, as Temple handed rival Saint Joseph's its first loss of the season.
> On Saturday, Davis tallied 13 points with seven rebounds in a win over Harvard.
> For the week, the forward shot 58.8% (10-17) from the field.Â

>Â Atkinson averaged 25.5 points and 12.0 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Owls.
