Women's Basketball Plays Hampton on Thursday at McGonigle

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's basketball team seeks their third-straight win, hosting Hampton on Thursday. The Owls will be looking to avenge last season's loss to the Pirates, tipping off at 7:00 p.m. at McGonigle Hall.

SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Temple is 6-2 on the season, 4-2 at home and 2-0 on the road to start the year.
> Tanaya Atkinson leads the Owls, averaging a double-double of 23.6 points and 11.1 rebounds per game.
> Freshman Mia Davis averages 10.5 points and 9.3 boards per game.
> Freshman Desiree Oliver adds 8.0 points and a team-high 2.7 assists per game. 
> Freshman Emani Mayo chips in with 7.0 points per outing.
> Senior Khadijah Berger averages 5.6 points and 2.7 assists per game.
> Freshman Breanna Perry adds 4.3 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.
> As a team, Temple shoots 40.0% from the field and 28.1% from three.

LAST TIME OUT
> Temple opened play with a 20-2 run and the final outcome was never in doubt, as the Owls toppled visiting Harvard, 86-64, on Saturday afternoon.
> After a 2-0 Harvard start, the Owls rattled off 20 unanswered points to put the game out of reach just 6:34 into play.
> Temple shot 58.1% (18-31) in the first two quarters, ending the game shooting 45.8%.
> Tanaya Atkinson notched her seventh double-double in eight games this year, finishing with game highs of 27 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists.
> Davis tallied 13 points with seven boards.
> Berger scored 12 points on 4-of-5 from the field, adding three helpers.
> Oliver finished with 12 points and five rebounds.
