Fountain Big 5 Player of the Week; American Honor Roll Selection

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple's Donnaizha Fountain was named the Philadelphia Big 5 Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday. The junior also appeared on the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.Â
Fountain averaged a double-double of 17.0 points and 10.5 rebounds as Temple defeated Tulsa and East Carolina. Against Tulsa, the guard scored 17 points with nine rebounds, also grabbing three steals in 29 minutes of work. On Saturday at East Carolina, Fountain scored 19 points with a game-best 12 rebounds, adding three assists in the win. For the week, she shot 48.3% (14-29) from the field and 44.4% (4-9) from three.Â
Temple is back in action on Wednesday, hosting SMU at McGonigle Hall at 7:00 p.m.
