Women's Gymnastics Places Nine on ECAC All-Academic Team

DANBURY, Conn. – Following the completion of the 2017 season, the ECAC has announced this year's Division I Gymnastics All-Academic Team. Nine members of the Temple women's gymnastics team have been honored on this year's team.
The Owls on this year's team are freshmen Yasmin Eubanks, Jaylene Everett, Whitney King, and Daisy Todd. Morgan Fridey, Aya Mahgoub and Breahna Wiczkowski represented the sophomore class on the team. Sahara Gipson and Briana Odom rounded out the recipients for the Owls.
Gipson, Odom and Wiczkowski have been named to the team for the second time in their respective careers.
To be selected for the ECAC All-Academic Team, student-athletes are required to carry a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher based on the most recent semester they have completed.
Among the six conference members, Brown, Cornell and Penn all led the way with 16 gymnasts each on this year's team. Overall, the 2017 ECAC All-Academic Team totaled 76 gymnasts.
