Temple-Navy Game Date Announced

PHILADELPHIA – The official date of the Temple-Navy game this season is now set for Thursday, November 2. The game will be played at Lincoln Financial Field and will air on ESPN. The game had previously been announced as a Thursday or Friday game pending the release of the NFL schedule and availability of Lincoln Financial Field.
Temple is 6-6 all-time vs. Navy, 2-2 in Philadelphia. The Owls defeated Navy, 34-10, in the 2016 American Athletic Conference Championship game last December 3. That is their only matchup as conference foes.
The Owls are coming off back-to-back 10-win seasons in which they were ranked among the Top 25 in both 2015 and 2016. Temple is one of 13 FBS schools to win 10-or-more games in each of the past two seasons and one of five (Alabama, Clemson, San Diego State, Western Kentucky) to accomplish that feat while also playing in its Conference Championship game in each season.
