Millie Howard Moves on to NCAA East Regional Preliminaries

PHILADELPHIA - The NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Committee has announced the participants for the 2017 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships preliminary competitions. Freshman Millie Howard of Temple women's track and field has qualified for the 800-meter run at the east region preliminaries.

After running the 800m in a season-best time of 2:08.32 at The American Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Howard earned a spot among the event's declared participants at No. 46 on the start list. The east preliminary competitions are scheduled for May 25 - 27 hosted at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. The qualifiers out of both the east and west regions will compete in the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships held June 7-10 in Eugene, Oregon.
