Day One Results

QUECHEE, Vt. – Junior Trey Wren shot a one-over par 73 on a tough day for Temple Golf as the team is in ninth place after the first round at the Quechee Club Collegiate Challenge. The 14-team tournament is being held at the 6,765 par-72 Highland Course.

Keys to the Tournament
> The Owls were among the top five and four strokes from the lead at the turn, but 15 bogeys and two double bogeys proved costly. Temple is 15 strokes behind the leader, Cornell.
> Wren was four-under after 13 holes and led the field, but shot a plus-five over the final five holes to tie for 17th among the 91 competitors..
> Besides Wren, the Owls other three scorers were separated by one stroke with junior Gary McCabe (+3) one shot better than redshirt junior John Barone (+4) and freshman Dawson Anders (+4).
> Playing as an individual, freshman Liam McGrath carded a one-over 73 in his first collegiate round to tie Wren.
