Everett Named ECAC Specialist of the Week

1.16.18 | Women's Gymnastics

Danbury, Conn. – The ECAC has announced this week's edition of its Division I women's gymnastics awards, naming sophomore Jaylene Everett Specialist of the Week. The honor comes after two top-four performances at this weekend's meet against Towson and William & Mary.

In the Owls' second meet of the season, Everett reached a career-high floor exercise score of 9.825 that aided Temple to a 48.6, its best scoring event of the afternoon. Her performance earned her a third place finish overall. On vault, the sophomore emerged as Temple's highest scorer with a 9.725 to place fourth.

Everett's floor exercise score at Towson ties for the second highest score posted by an ECAC floor worker so far in 2018. She also posted the No. 2 vault scoring average in the conference.

This weekend, the Owls head to Chapel Hill for a dual meet at UNC on Friday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m.
