Women's Tennis Earns Three Flight Titles to Conclude Temple Invite

PHILADELPHIA— Temple women's tennis wrapped up play at the Temple Invite, their final tournament of the fall. The squad battled local rival Villanova at the TU Pavilion Sunday morning. Day three consisted of a round of singles followed by a round of doubles.
Notes
> The Owls won three flight titles to conclude the Temple Invite. Ruoyu Chen earned the title in the Cherry singles flight, Oyku Boz won the Purple flight singles crown and the pair of Boz/Cecilia Castelli secured the Black flight doubles title. Boz went undefeated in singles and doubles throughout the tournament.
> In doubles, the duo of Oleksandra Doroshenko/Kristina Titova bested their Villanova opponents, 7-5
> In singles, several Owls had success. Chunan Xiang downed Lindsey Evans, 6-3, 7-5. Stefaniya Surikova also notched a win in singles, handling Ellie Zimmerman, 6-2, 6-1.
