Volleyball Sweeps Memphis on the Road

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Temple volleyball team picked up 3-0 road sweep at Memphis on Sunday afternoon, recording a 25-17, 26-24, 25-9 win over the Tigers. The Owls improve to 6-21 overall, 3-12 in conference play, while Memphis dips to 11-16, 4-11.

> Temple won three very different sets, keyed by a .299 attack, holding the Tigers to .117.
> A close first set saw the Owls pull away midway through, using a 7-1 run to take control.
> Set two featured 17 ties and six lead changes, but Temple held strong and got the final two points to win a marathon, 26-24.

> Senior Mia Heirakuji recorded a match-best 18 digs, with sophomore Averi Salvador adding 15.
