MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Temple volleyball team picked up 3-0 road sweep at Memphis on Sunday afternoon, recording a 25-17, 26-24, 25-9 win over the Tigers. The Owls improve to 6-21 overall, 3-12 in conference play, while Memphis dips to 11-16, 4-11.

Keys to the Match
> Temple won three very different sets, keyed by a .299 attack, holding the Tigers to .117.
> A close first set saw the Owls pull away midway through, using a 7-1 run to take control.
> Set two featured 17 ties and six lead changes, but Temple held strong and got the final two points to win a marathon, 26-24.
> The Owls then sealed the victory with a massive .452 attack in the third, holding Memphis negative at -.030 to earn the sweep.

> Freshman Tyler Lindgren racked up a double-double with 20 assists and 12 digs.
> Graduate student Iva Deak had six kills without an error, while junior Dana Westfield had five kills and four blocks.
> Freshman Gem Grimshaw rounded out the offense with five kills, while senior Hannah Vandegrift dished out 17 assists.
> Senior Mia Heirakuji recorded a match-best 18 digs, with sophomore Averi Salvador adding 15.

Set One: Temple 25, Memphis 17
> Temple took control midway, creating separation with a long run, hitting .273 to Memphis' .098.
> Leading 10-9, the Owls rattled off a 7-1 run to take the lead for good.
> Memphis strung together a pair of kills late, to spoil two set points, but a Guennewig winner gave Temple the set, 25-17.

Set Two: Temple 26, Memphis 24
> A marathon second set saw 17 ties and six lead changes before Temple closed it out.
> The Owls played from behind early, finally breaking through to tie things at 11-11
> Neither team led by more than two points from then on and in a tense set, three set points were spoiled.
> Tied at 24-24, Temple got a Papazoglou kill and a Grimshaw ace to win it, 26-24.

Set Three: Temple 25, Memphis 9
> The third set was all Temple, as the Owls hit .452, holding Memphis to a negative attack.
