2.13.18 | Women's Gymnastics

Danbury, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference has announced this week's edition of its Division I women's gymnastics awards, naming freshman Monica Servidio Gymnast of the Week. The honor comes after a first place all-around performance at Penn with Bridgeport and Ursinus.

In just her second time competing all-around for the Owls, Servidio earned a career-high 9.8 floor score, a 9.7 balance beam score, a 9.75 uneven bars score, and a 9.725 vault score to post a 38.975 all around. The freshman placed first out of four all-arounders at the Palestra on Sunday.

Servidio's 9.8 career-best contributed to Temple's 49.050 team floor score – the second highest in program history. Her 38.975 stands as the second highest all-around score posted in the ECAC so far in 2018. Servidio has the conference's No. 1 all-around scoring average.

On Saturday Feb. 17, Temple Gymnastics will host Bridgeport, West Chester, and Ursinus for the annual Ken Anderson Invitational in McGonigle Hall at 1 p.m.
