Temple Athletics Hosting Annual Girls & Women in Sports Day on April 17

PHILADELPHIA - For a sixth year in a row, the Temple University Athletics Department will host a National Girls and Women in Sports Day event. Temple will welcome local students to the TU Pavilion and Geasey Field on Tuesday, April 17 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The girls-only event is free and open to students in grades eight and below. Temple student-athletes will run clinics with participants, and local businesses have donated giveaways. In the event of inclement weather, the event will utilize McGonigle Hall in addition to the TU Pavilion.

This year marks the 32nd anniversary of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, an observance celebrating the extraordinary achievements of women and girls in sports.
