Track & Field Heads to No. 22 Ole Miss on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA – This weekend, Temple track and field will head to Mississippi for its second meet of the 2018 outdoor season. The Owls will compete at the Ole Miss Classic on Saturday, March 31. Hosted at the Ole Miss Track & Field Complex, the meet will feature 11 teams. The day of events kicks off with the javelin at 9 a.m.
Scouting the Owls
> Freshman Aisha Brown enters the Ole Miss Classic as the top seed in the high jump. Brown reached a personal best mark of 1.78m in the event o Mar. 17 at the 49er Classic hosted at UNC Charlotte, winning the individual title.
> Senior Katie Pinson and freshman Lucy Jones are slated for the 3000-meter steeplechase. Jones and Pinson placed fourth (10:49.96) and fifth (10:51.37), respectively in the event at UNC Charlotte.
> Temple earned its highest American Indoor finish since joining the conference at the 2018 American Indoor Championships, placing sixth out of the 12 women's teams on Feb. 24.
