Golf sits in third place after day one of Cornell Spring Invitational

JUNIPER, Fla. – Temple struggled on the first day of the Cornell Spring Invitational with all five Owls shooting over 80 for the opening round. Temple carded a 326 to place third behind Dartmouth (296) and host Cornell (309). The two-day, 36-hole tournament is being held at the 7,301-yard, par-72 The Dye Preserve Golf Club.
Keys to the Tournament
> Gary McCabe led the Owls with an eight-over 80. Dawson Anders and John Barone were one shot back with 81s with Trey Wren (84) rounding out the scoring.
> Dartmouth's Ian Kelsey leads the field with a two-under 70.
