Men's Tennis Closes Out Regular Season With 7-0 Win Over Fairleigh Dickinson

PHILADELPHIA - The men's tennis team bounced back in a major way Sunday evening after falling to No. 17 Memphis on the road a day before. Led by senior Thomas Sevel, who was honored before the match as part of this season's Senior Day festivities, the Owls did not drop a single set in the match and cruised to a 7-0 victory over visiting Fairleigh Dickinson.
"It was a great day today for the men's tennis team," said head coach Steve Mauro. "It was Senior Day for Thomas Sevel. I'm really happy with the way he has played for us and am proud to have him on the team. He's been a great player for us and helped us get to the next level."
The Owls (12-9) will travel to Dallas on Tuesday for the American Athletic Conference Championship at Southern Methodist University. Opponents and seeding will be announced tomorrow afternoon.
