Golf Set for the American Athletic Conference Championship

PALM HARBOR, Fla. – Temple Golf travels to par-71, 7,125-yard Copperhead Course at the Innisbrook Resort & Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Fla. to compete in the 2018 American Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship, presented by Visit St. Pete/Clearwater.

All three days (April 22-24) of the championship can be followed via Golfstat, while the final round of the championship will also feature coverage on the American Digital Network beginning at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Scouting the Owls
> The Owls are coming off their best showing of the spring season, a sixth place finish at the 12-team Princeton Invitational.  Head coach Brian Quinn's squad is led by junior Trey Wren, who has compiled a 75.4 stroke average while playing in all 25 rounds.  
> Wren will be joined by fellow junior Gary McCabe (75.5), freshman Dawson Anders (75.8) and redshirt junior John Barone (75.9). 
> Senior Mark Farley has the best stroke average among the Temple quintet (72.0), but has played in just three rounds on the season.

About the Field
> Three teams in The American, USF (#21), Houston (#58) and UCF (#59) are ranked among the Top 60 programs in the latest Golfstat/NCAA rankings.
> USF's Claudio Correa is the highest ranked individual in the field at #32 in the country. Houston's Mike Perras is ranked 45th according to Golfstat.

Tee Time
 > Temple is paired with new conference member Wichita State and tees off from hole 10 at 7:34 a.m. ET on Sunday.
