8.9.18 | Men's Golf

King of Prussia, Pa. – Mark Farley, who graduated this past spring, shot a five-under 66 on the final day of competition at the 116th Joseph H. Patterson Cup Thursday to place second overall among 146 of the region's top amateurs.  The two-day, 136-hole event was held at the Gulph Mills Golf Club.

Farley finished with a two-under 140 which was two strokes back of the winner Michael Brown, Jr.  Both golfers play out of LuLu Country Club.

Farley, who earned Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area honors in 2018, was one of only four golfers to break par for the tournament.

Temple alum Andrew Mason ('11), a former Patterson Cup Champion, tied for 13th overall with a two-over 144.   Senior Sam Soeth and sophomore Dawson Anders tied for 35th with six-over 148s.

Redshirt senior John Barone and senior Gary McCabe tied for 49th with nine-over 151s.
