Katie Rinfret Named Athletics Marketing Coordinator

PHILADELPHIA – Katie Rinfret, who worked in the athletics marketing office at St. John's for the last six years, joins the Temple University Athletics Staff as its marketing coordinator. In her role, she will be responsible for marketing and creating game day promotions for a number of sports, including women's basketball and volleyball.
"We're very excited to have Katie join our staff," said Scott Walcoff, Senior Associate Athletic Director of External Operations. "Katie comes highly recommended and was instrumental in creating engaging promotions for fans and increasing attendance during her time at St. John's. She has already hit the ground running here at Temple."
"As a resident of Pennsylvania, I've always admired the Temple Athletics brand," said Rinfret. "I'm excited and honored to be a part of the team and to begin this new chapter of my career,"
Rinfret, who earned her bachelor's ('16) and master's degrees from St, John's, started her career as a student assistant in the Red Storm athletics marketing office in 2012.
Following graduation she stayed on as the department's graduate assistant where she was responsible for supervising over 30 student workers and interns that facilitated game day operations. Working closely with women's basketball during her two years in that role, Rinfret helped bring in a record-setting crowd of 5,602 fans. The event was so successful a waiting list of over 20,000 was established.
The Palmerton, Pa. native was named the department's interim Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions in February 2018. In this role, she was responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive marketing plans for all St. John's athletic programs.
