PALM HARBOR, Fla. – After a two-week break, Temple Golf returns to play Monday (Oct. 28) to compete in the Intercollegiate at Innisbrook. The two-day, 54-hole tournament played at the par-71, 7,125-yard Copperhead Course at the Innisbrook Resort & Golf Club. The 15-team tournament will provide a preview of the 2020 American Athletic Conference Championship as seven AAC teams are in the field with the course again serving as the site for the league championship in April.

Previewing the Owls
> Sophomore Conor McGrath leads the Owls with a 72.67 stroke average and is coming off a three-under 210 performance at the Phoenix Invitational.  He is playing in the top slot for the Owls for the first time.
> Junior Dawson Anders is next for the Cherry and White, averaging 73.97 strokes per round.  The Owls team captain is looking to return to his summer form which enabled him to qualify for the 2019 U.S. Amateur.
> Senior Liam McGrath, who led the Owls and tied for 13th at the Phoenix Invitational with a five under 208, is averaging 74.0 strokes per round.  McGrath tied for second with the lowest below par (-6) score in Temple history with his final round of 65 at Phoenix.
> Freshmen Graham Chase (74.58) and Danny Nguyen (76.25), who have played all 12 rounds this fall, round out the Temple five while senior Aaron Tobin (76.83), a native of Tampa, Fla. will play as an individual.

The Field
> UCF, ranked 16th in the nation, leads a very competitive field that also features conference foes ECU, Houston, Memphis, USF and Wichita State.
> The rest of the field includes Campbell, Florida Gulf Coast, Hartford, Houston Baptist, James Madison, Maryland, USC Upstate and William and Mary

Quotable
> "I am looking forward to the tournament and excited to see how we will compete," said Temple head coach Brian Quinn. "We have four kids that can go considerably deep at any time, but we need them to all play well at the same time. If we play solid I think we can have a nice week. This also gives our guys an opportunity to play at the site of the conference championship which will help in the spring."
