Leandros Lillis Named to American Weekly Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA– The American Athletic Conference announced its weekly awards on Monday afternoon and senior midfielder Leandros Lillis earned a spot on the Weekly Honor Roll for his offensive contributions for the Temple men's soccer team last week against Old Dominion.
Lillis netted the game-winner on Tuesday afternoon against the Monarchs, notching his first collegiate goal in dramatic fashion. The Cyprus native decided the contest for the Owls with 55 seconds left in regulation. Fellow senior Lukas Fernandes received the ball on the left side of box and lofted a far post cross, finding Lillis waiting to tap it in and seal the deal for the Cherry and White.
Next up, the Owls will hit the road on Tuesday, Oct. 8 as they head to New York to take on No. 12 St. John's. Kickoff for the nonconference match-up is set for 7 p.m.
