Women’s Soccer to Host SMU Thursday Night

PHILADELPHIA—Temple women's soccer (3-7-3, 1-3 AAC) returns home to North Broad on Thursday, Oct. 10 to host the SMU (7-3-1, 0-2 AAC) Mustangs. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Temple Sports Complex.
Owl About Us
> The Cherry and White are led by head coach Seamus O'Connor, who is in his seventh season at the helm of the program.
> Temple is captained by junior Julia Dolan and seniors Morgan Basileo, Emily Keitel and Molly Tobin.
> Sophomore Gabriela Johnson is an offensive threat for the Owls. She owns the top spot on the team's offensive production list. Johnson has tallied eight points (3g, 2a) on the season, including an overtime game-winning goal. Sophomore Hailey Gutowski is another strong attacking presence for the Owls, as she has recorded six points (2g, 2a).

Basileo has tallied double-digit saves twice this season (8/22 at Wake Forest, 9/12 at Maryland). The senior owns a 1.46 goal against average, a 0.82 save percentage and has earned two shutouts.

> Temple faced No. 9 Memphis (12-1, 4-0 AAC) on the road Sunday afternoon, falling 2-0 to the Tigers. Memphis got out to an early two-goal lead by the 13th minute behind a Clarissa Larisey brace, but Temple held the nationally-ranked Tigers scoreless in the second half.
